Venturi is back at the Paris Motor Show with a new version of its electric America dune buggy, which debuted at the same event two years ago.
It now not only has a new color and doors, but according to Evo, the drivetrain is much improved.
Venturi America now boasts 300 kW of power and 480 Nm of torque available, so 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is achievable in 4.5 seconds.
200 km/h can be reached in 14 seconds, while top speed stands at 220 kmh/ (137 mph).
The 53 kWh battery pack (similar to the Tesla Roadster) should last for 250 km (155 miles). Then you need three and a half hours to fully recharge at 22 kW via the on-board charger.
Most important is that Venturi plans to produce 25 units of this extraordinary EV beginning in 2015. Price is unknown (some sources state $460,000).
